Like pretty much every sphere of life, academic marketing has it’s own set of awards called the HEIST awards.
These awards were given out at a posh do down in London on Thursday May 7th: at the time of writing that is now 60 hours ago…
… and they have still not posted the award winners onto their site.
OK: I can understand not blogging on such a subject – it’s a once a year event after all: I can understand not Twittering it – although what better way to break news of the awards in real time?) But to not get round to updating the site with the names of the winners after 60 hours just amazes and appalls me.
Do they assume that every single person with any kind of interest in the awards whatsoever was there on the night?!
